Welcome to the Mersey Valley Countryside Warden Service |
|
The Mersey Valley Countryside Warden Service manages a wide range of countryside sites along the banks of the River Mersey, from the Manchester – Stockport boundary in the East to the Manchester Ship Canal in the West. Covering many square miles of open green space, your local countryside could be nearer to your doorstep than you might think. Use the buttons to the left to find out about Mersey Valley Sites and things that are happening in the Valley. To return to this page, click on the Mersey Valley logo at the top left of the page. Recent wildlife sightings and Nature Trail at Stenner & Millgate. Click on the wildlife link in the navigation bar to catch up on all the latest bird sightings in the Mersey Valley and keep your eyes peeled for our nature trail signs next time you pop down to Stenner and Millgate. The trail is aimed at families, but we hope everyone will be able to learn a little from it. There are six signs dotted around the site. It doesn't matter which order you do them in, but to help you find them, we've put together a trail sheet which you can download here. If the site's new to you, then you might like to download a copy of our map too. Or pick up both leaflets from Fletcher Moss information point, Chorlton Water Park or the visitor centre at Sale Water Park |
